Financial Advisors for Now and the Future.
About Scott
Once referred to by nicknames like “Scooter” and “Lippy” when he was younger, Scott now finds himself being called “Toms” around the office most of the time. It has just become easier that way, partly due to the large number of Scott’s employed within the Carson Wealth team and the convenience of having two first names. Early on in his working career, Scott realized he had a real knack and love for working directly with people. His career path took him into the logistics and transportation industry as a manager, but he quickly realized he missed working with and serving people in a more intimate environment. In 2000, he was presented with an opportunity to return to his passion by entering the financial services arena. As a Wealth Advisor, Scott serves as a trusted resource for his clients, helping them make prudent, educated decisions when it comes to their financial well-being and security. He enjoys providing unique and comprehensive solutions for each client, with the ultimate goal of helping them live their best life now and in the future.
Scott graduated from Shepherd University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, specializing in management with a minor in communications. He also earned the professional designation of Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) in 2005 after extensive graduate-level coursework and examination at the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. Scott has been a member of the Investments & Wealth Institute since 2005.
Serving his local community and working with other professionals in a civic capacity is something Scott enjoys. Scott serves as a Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Star Community, Inc., a non-profit organization that provides innovative and compassionate services to individuals with special needs and developmental disabilities. He has also served on the Board of Directors for CASA, Inc. (Citizens Assisting and Sheltering the Abused), a non-profit organization that offers specialized programs and services for individuals affected by domestic violence.
Scott spends his free time with his wife Stacey and their kids Ian and Lauren. He’s been known to win a tennis trophy from time to time and is also an avid soccer fan. Both sports in which he played in college.
