Financial Advice That Makes the Complex Simple
About Tim
Tim brings more than 30 years of experience in wealth planning services to his role on our team as a Senior Wealth Planner. Having previously owned and operated his own Bay Area consultancy practice before joining Carson, Tim has experience with developing lasting relationships with entrepreneurial families and advisors. He is a vital member of the Carson Wealth team.
Tim offers a proactive approach for improved wealth enhancement by looking for targeted areas of planning in estate, tax and succession planning, focusing on multigenerational wealth preservation for high net worth individuals. Tim has a reputation for innovative planning and an eye toward long-term risk management and pursuing family goals.
Tim knows the bedrock for effective wealth planning involves the identification of optimal assets, timing and preservation through controlled use of entities, funding of special trusts – such as grantor retained annuity trusts (GRATs), intentionally defective grantor trusts (IDGTs), long-term dynasty trusts to benefit younger generations and various charitable trusts such as charitable remainder trusts (CRTs), charitable lead trusts (CLTs) and private foundations.
Tim holds a master’s degree in taxation and received his undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College. His clients utilize his services because of his ability to communicate complex matters in simple language and his passion for helping protect and grow family wealth through generations.
Tim and his wife, Leslie, have two children, John and Megan. Tim enjoys supporting his son’s passion for culinary arts and his daughter’s equestrian Hunter/Jumper disciplines. Tim can often be seen on the roads and mountains of Napa riding his bike and sometimes mucking it up over at Tulucay Farm.
